Intro: MMM Group was part of the Dufferin Construction Company design-build team that was awarded the 13 km long, 1800 mm diameter, $73 million concrete pressure pipe watermain contract for York Region and the 8 km long, 2100 and 1800 mm diameter, $32 million contract for Peel.
The assignment included detailed design and construction phase services for over 24 km of large diameter feedermains and distribution mains, including five tunnels, open cut creek crossings including the challenging open cut crossing of the Humber River, and open cut of numerous arterial roads, including Highway 27.
