On behalf of the Board of Directors, Chairman & CEO Joe Tersigni is pleased to announce the appointments of the following individuals as Associates at MMM, effective January 1, 2003.
Brian Derich. Brian is a Project Manager in MMM’s Airports Group with special responsibility for baggage handling and reconciliation systems, passenger boarding bridges and ramp service integration. A graduate of George Brown College, he is currently assigned to MMM’s Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport Expansion Program, where he is responsible for baggage handling and other airport systems. Prior to joining MMM, Brian worked at Terminal 3 for Airport Group Canada Inc. as Manager of Facilities Systems and Equipment Maintenance.
Eugen Cionga, M.Eng. Eugen is Senior Mechanical Designer in the Building Engineering Division. Since joining MMM in 1994, he has worked on a variety of major projects including the award-winning Creemore Sewage Treatment Plant, Detroit Airport De-Icing facility, the Central De-Icing Facility and GTAA Infield Development Project at Pearson International Airport, the National Trade Centre and the Air Canada Centre.
Franca Costantino, B.A.Sc., P.Eng., Senior Project Engineer, Airports Group. Franca joined MMM in 1998 and soon after moved to MGP Project Managers at Pearson International Airport. Her MGP experience includes work on the development of the Roads and Bridges and Parking Garage programs, and the new Central Utilities Plant. Franca is currently working on various aspects of the New Terminal Building, doing both design and construction coordination, including implementation of the art program. Franca previously worked for MTO and the Regional Municipality of York.
Fernando De Luca, B. Tech., OLS. Fernando joined MMM’s Toronto office as a graduate of the Survey Engineering program at Ryerson Polytechnic University in 1994. He has worked on many out-of-town projects for both the Halton-Peel Regional office and the Toronto office including TCPL, TNPI, Hydro One and most recently Natural Resources Canada in NWT. His current duties include project management on a variety of projects ranging from subdivision development to engineering construction and layout, and Global Positioning Satellite geodetic control.
Darren Hardenbrook, Dipl. T., Project Coordinator, Transportation Planning Department. Darren joined MMM in 1995 following earlier work experience with the City of Mississauga and the Region of Hamilton-Wentworth. Currently responsible for key elements of the Detroit River Tunnel Project, some of Darren’s other projects include Hwy 407 East extension, the Fredericton-Moncton Highway, and traffic operations, impact and parking studies for municipalities throughout the GTA and southern Ontario.
Colin B. Jeschke, A.L.S., Project Manager, Calgary Office. Colin joined Usher Canada in the fall of 1999. He has been involved with various aspects of surveying since 1990. Currently he is working on a 250 km Fibre Optic Line Survey, as part of the Alberta Super Net project, from Lethbridge to Calgary. Colin also manages Pleiades Data Corp, a company operating numerous GPS reference stations.
Anna Namiotkiewicz, P.Eng. joined the Electrical Department at MMM in 1989 and has specialized in power distribution and building electrical engineering. Since joining the firm, she has been involved in Toronto Hydro’s 13.8kV Conversion Program, upgrade of Trans-Northern Pipelines’ pumping stations between Montreal and Nanticoke, water and sewage treatment stations including Casino Rama’s WTS and STS. Anna’s recent projects include several ORC/MAG Courthouse projects in Chatham and Brockville.
Dominique Quesnel, P.Eng., Senior Project Engineer, Transportation Engineering. Dominique joined MMM in the spring of 1998 as a graduate of the University of New Brunswick. His first project was the Fredericton-Moncton Highway in his home province. Since then he has worked on the Hwy 407 east design, completed his Masters Science in Engineering from UNB and achieved designation as a Professional Engineer.
Barry Sherwood, P.Eng., Senior Project Manager, Transportation Engineering. Barry joined MMM in May 2000 and was seconded to the MGP Project Management Team. While at MGP, he assisted the design consultant with the preparation of the contract packages and monitored the quality program on behalf of MGP. In March 2001, he returned to the main office and has taken on assignments on Hwy 401, DRTP, Langstaff Road, Cabana Road, and Todd Lane.
Nelson Wong, P.Eng., Senior Project Engineer, Municipal Engineering. Nelson joined MMM in 1996 following graduation from the University of Toronto's Civil Engineering program. As a Designer in the Municipal Design group, he took an active role in the design of several residential phases of the Bayview Glen Community in Richmond Hill. After his promotion to Project Engineer in 2000, his responsibilities were expanded to include project coordination for a number of commercial site plans within Bayview Glen, point-of-presence structures for Futureway Communications and plant relocation for Bell Canada at the QEW/Guelph Line interchange in Burlington.
